Started wargaming in 1983 mainly in 15mm but now as my eyesight fades moving towrds 28mm figures. My principal interest is in Napoleonic era.
I’m a Welshman who’s lived in NZ since 1999 and put up with the locals jibes about the rugby. I promise to be insufferable when Wales finally win the rugby world cup . In the meantime I’ll keep my head down and keep painting figures
Great Blog Kerry, Love your collection
Wonderful post Kerry. Is there a button anywhere on the page where I can follow the blog please?
Thank you for your kind comments gents. Carlo I’ve managed to find a follow button and have now installed it – I’m not the most computer savvy of people. I also see I have 2 lots of archive – I’ll try and tidy things up when I have a chance!
Hi Kerry. Could you please email me at chrisgregg173@gmail.com so i can invite you to our Quatre Bras games in the Cotswolds in case they tie in with any of your trips to UK. Thanks Chris
Hi Kerry
Attempting to do a recreation of Leipzig in 28mm and wondered if you had any contact details for Mr Hutton as would love to ask him a few questions.
Best Regards
Darren
Hiya Kerry. Happy new year and all that.
I saw the post about your gendarmes on Lead Adventure, amazing paint work – you should be proud.
I own a mix of Foundry gendarmes and Perry mounted men-at-arms. As the Foundry horses are distinctly smaller than the Perry horses I ordered Perry remounts for my Foundry gendarmes and now have 15 spare Foundry horses – They are a mix of three poses, the one with the plume on the head armour (name of that armour piece eludes me at the moment) and the other two have no barding / caparison, just straps on the hind quarters..
Are you interested in taking them off my hands? Eureka could possibly provide you with gendarmes without horses, they are good like that. I could also throw in a handful of the Foundry swiss pike in various poses, I have found they are good for altering into casualty figures ala Captain Blood’s incredible work.
Would only be looking for a nominal sum + postage (I am located in Wellington), or even a swap for something else. I am always on the lookout for suitable civilian / camp follower figures or little gubbins for terrain and basing.
Otherwise I will put them on Trademe and see if anyone is interested. let me know,
PS: In total awe of your painting skills.
Malcom
Hi Malcolm – thanks for the kind comments – I’ll pass on the offer of Foundry horses is that’s ok – I actually have some on the way at the moment having bought them in the Xmas sale but like you I feel that they aren’t the best looking and your idea of replacing them with Perry mounts is a good one- Regards Kerry
